Who to Trust?

When you have a business idea that your heart is set on making happen, at one point every entrepreneur seeks advice. Advice from a lawyer, advise from a business person, advise from a family member, advise from someone who had some or past success. And now… here is my first bit of advice, “be VERY careful who you listen too!” Everyone has their own perspective, everyone often has their own agenda, and more often than not, their advice does not dove-tail with what is best for you and your idea. My second piece of advice… “talk to many people in the same fields and backgrounds and you will start to see my point.” In most cases they will all contradict each other and what you should do! And now my last piece of advice… “find someone that speaks your business language, feels like you do, can help in areas that your knowledge depth is lacking and then truly has their goals aligned with yours!” Not so easy, but starting your own business is not either!
